    Default Traveling to NC jamboree

Dale, we are going to miss you! Sorry you can't make it, I was looking forward to seeing you there as I will not be able to make 'Camp Ottawa' this year.

I will be staying at the Red Roof Inn on No. Pointe Dr. and am looking for someone to share car rental expenses with. Incidentally, Red Roof is a lot cheaper and is centrally located between the Hilton and ShopBot Hdqs. If interested or you need add'l info, enail me.

Looking for a lift, or share taxi costs from Hilton hotel to shopbot on THURSDAY for the training session. Leave message for me at reception, as I start my trek to the jamboree today.

    Steve,
What we did last year was to have a "caravan" of cars sitting outside the Hilton after the morning sessions. Anyone needing a ride easily found a place in one of them, and we did the same at the end of the day to get back to the hotel as well. NO ONE was left behind. (And we'll ask for everyone's help again this year. If you ARE bringing a vehicle please just pull up to the front entrance of the Hilton after the last session).
Having said that it's a good idea to be prepared for this arrangement each morning. If people have to go back to their rooms and get cameras, laptops, etc. it makes it less convenient for everyone. So those 'Botters looking for a lift should be ready to roll once we complete the morning sessions.

Oops, just re-read Steve's post. His concern was Thursday, and we'll work on a way to see about something similar, and try to post it here...
