I think i have this design or something similar in one of my design template books but never got around to making it, very nice. I like the contrasting wood. How did you accomplish your lid holding, with a dowel? How does it stay connected to both pieces yet stil turn? good job!
thanks for all the nice words. yes the covers are held by dowels .1562 brass. drilled .75 deep into a 1.5" base. tool paths were done in VCPRO .5" compression. 180 in/min. And a .1562 end mill for the holes.
