    Default Stop

Quick one - when I have to hit the red stop button - do I automatically loose my x,y & z locations? Do I have to rezero everything?

    Thanks

2 cents. Better safe than sorry.
I did have a little mark at 10,10,-.01 for a little while that I had "Sharpied" and it never cut the "Sharpie" mark when I ran that drilling toolpath again, but again, it doesn't take long--why chance it.
Sorry, but "comms" has me in a "Mood"

    Jim…
With my PRT alpha and the older control software that’s stable for me, hitting the stop button loses everything

    Jim,
Hitting the emergency stop kills everything. I had my power for my router wired in to my control box so that if i had to hit the "kill switch" it stops the movement and the router.

However..if you see impending disaster about to happen and want to stop it without losing everything you can (at least on my version of software and prt alpha) just hit the SPACEBAR and that will pause the action. Depending on how you have it wired or using a spindle it may not kill that but you won't lose your coordinates and have to start over.
