    Default Probe problem

with a PRS Alpha - A new and unused probe - when I plug the probe into the wiring harness for my Z Zero plate both the #1 and #5 input centers turn green. I have the Z zero plate laying on the OSB and separated from the alligator clip. The probe appears to be working physically - not jammed and free to move. It is factory wired as per the diagram. My Z zero plate works perfectly. I understand that the probe should only turn #1 green when it contacts something and the probe moves off it's neutral position
    thanks

Just for info - The mistake I made was to wire the probe to terminal 5 on the board not +5 (which is after #8)
no harm done -seems to works now in 2d - haven't tried 3d yet.
Thanks to Frank for the info on what to check for!
