That was the direction I wanted to go, aesthetics was a big deal to me. I had read about the hollow boards had some issues when left in the sun, then put into the cool water they could crack or implode! The week we went to the lake the temperature was about 109 degrees F. It was almost guaranteed it wouldn't have made it into the water.
I can't get over how great that looks though. Really, a great job.

Thanks guys! Brady, I think this one is a wall mounter. I am giving it to my father-in-law in SoCal. I was hoping he would use it just to see if it works well but I don't think he is going to.
It has an air valve on the top of the board near the tail. When you are done using the board, you crack open the vent to let the board breath. I used 3 coats of polyurethane resin and 3 coats of Marine Varnish. It should be pretty much UV resistant.
